Because, there's never a guarantee they will be there. BUT, you never know of the fun things you will get, or terrors. Live rock is a pure gamble. In the days the pet stores sold live rock, I always left with a few chucks to find new hitch hikers. Looking online for an id. It was the true love of my reefing.

My first yumas were given to me. petco thought they were pest of some kind. I kind of miss those days.

them were the days my friends 1990-98??
Hawaii 2$ lb 92ish close
Florida 1$ lb 95ish close
then came
Honduras 3$ open 6mo ish 96ish
Indo pacific 2$ early 90's
Fiji 2$ lb up till 97 ish
Tifney always loved waking up to smell of garbage cans with real live rock curing in the...
kitchen,bathtub,bedroom,living room of 2BDRM apt...o_O
1100 lbs at a time ," hun it's only half of container"...:face-with-tongue:
fortunately my parents offered me to come use their bsmt after my 1st yr ish...;):)
