new build is starting! bought a bunch of dry rock to throw in a bin with some water while everything else is being bought and put together. ill eventually be getting some gulf live rock when the display is ready. Do i just chuck this **** in a bin with water and just wait or is there some secret sauce to add

ah beautiful day...goes great with coffee....got my jebao pump, gonna make a manifild and use it to flow water through the bio pellet reactors and a second reactor with two large bags of siporax in it, to increase water flow through it. my 300 is almost bare bottom, just 10 pounds of sand in a corner for the wrasses. going to a frag show gonna trade a small hammer for some zoas....

Add the live rock to the dry rock in the bin to give it the best start ever! The biome will give you the best success in the long run. Let the live rock be the cycle for the dead rock. It works great and I used this with Lace Rock years ago before the artificial rock sold today.

Live rock is the secret sauce!

are you in North West Indiana? I'm about 20minutes West of Chicago. Pretty close to 294.
takes us about an hour and a half to get to the Dunes.

Yes and no... 30 mins south of indy so what about 4 hrs?
