The thing is, neither one of us wrong.

Again, so many variables to factor in. Some alk supplements do not boost ph much, others do. Bottles may be stronger or weaker from one batch to the next. There may not be exactly 15 gallons in the container.

Better to start low when raising alk, then having to add more water or acid to bring it down.
Well said :)

I never did ask though.

@Thespammailaccount

Why are you keeping alk in the 10 range? Not that it is an issue, but usually if you keep alk at the salt mix you are using it makes consistency soo much easier. Especially if you do regular water changes.
Been using Red Sea purple bucket since I started and mixes to about 11.5 dkh been lowering over the course of several months so alk now is at 10.2

my attitude is making it easier (wrong) is just lazy.
For most things yes. For me when dosing, I prefer the easy way and test and adjust from there.

With work and the rest of things, heck no. When dealing with money .00001 adds up over 20k installs or switches or routers lol. That couple of pennies could make or break my margin lol.

Got to keep the techs at the dealerships busy with warranty work or make sure that right out of warranty it breaks.

Kinda like bmw injection pumps and oil seals......
That statement reminds me of my N54, so many HPFP replaced, aggh!
You get that spiffy new M5 yet?

Wife won’t let me lol.

I only had one hpfp replaced on my 335is when I had it. I then carried it to a local builder in Nashville and they fixed the main issue with hpfp. A crap seal that did not like ethanol.

when it was said and done the car ended up as a single turbo and ran secondary “normal” injectors on top of the hpfp. I do miss that car. But my m3 is still basically an overbuilt n54 with the issues fixed and handles way better, even stock compared to fully tuned coil overs.

Next car will be an old Volvo 240 modernized with an LS swap lol. Tired of new cars.
