You know your tank is as heavy as you claimed when the people moving it insist on a 4 person team....for your 120g lol
I moved my 120 out of a house, 40 miles down the road and up a set of stairs with a turn around with one other guy. It SUCKED. If we absolutely didn't have to, we probably COULDN'T have done it with two guys after also moving ~40 5 gallon buckets of water and LR as well.

yeah I’d want at least three for a “modern” 120.....I have an old oceanic. I don’t know how me, my dad, and My buddy got it into my old place with nothing but our hands and a little dolly. We had to move it around the house, down a hill, and through the outside entrance to my studio. The dolly was unusable afterwards lol I always suspected my tank was heavier than a regular tank of the same volume

the owner of the LFS literally asked me three times if I really had an oceanic when I spoke to him. He then said he refused to move it with any less than 4 bodies for safety. Heavily hinted that it would be similar to moving a standard 180...

yeah, that’s why I’m paying you to move it. Got it and the steel stand plus a 40b for $250 from someone who was moving and selling everything. I don’t want to break it. And who knows if I’d ever get my hands on another oceanic

Wow that's a great score for sure.

I don't know who makes my 120, but it honestly felt as heavy as the 240 that I've helped move 3 times now. Maybe that's because moving in, was already 10pm after starting at about 5pm.

I really have no idea if mine is as heavy as it feels. I do know the glass is much thicker than on the rimless 120s I’ve seen at my LFS. Who knows

Honestly one of the ONLY reasons I would ever advocate for a 8 foot tank for myself.

I was CRUSHED when I learned that a 3" vlamingi would outgrow my tank in 2 years. Been one of my favorites since way before I ever added salt to my tank water.
