Honest question for the group.
The Superman multipora that was really bleached out when I got the tank and is finally starting to come back a little bit is unfortunately on the wrong side of a rock for the kind of light it needs. The rock can't really move because of everything else that's on the rock. Is it unethical to keep it back there knowing it Can't thrive on reflected light only?

Question 2, could I take a chisel to a square inch or so and move that part higher on the rock? I've never really seen much about fragging Montes.

If its coming back and growing I'd leave it. Maybe frag some later... but leave it for now.

It was ashy grey when I got them. No polyp extension for a month. I started dosing amino acid and after a month, polyps are opening, color has evened out to a dullred. There is dieoff on the bottom side in the shade.. about a third.

I've got monti's all over my tank, from 300+ par down to mid 60's.
all are doing fine. plating or encrusting. I'd leave it alone like the rest of the crew is advising.

I interrupt your reefing joy to vent rage and utter curses to whomever put together our kitchen and couldn't be bothered to find a stud finder, or.... Idk.... Tap on the walls to find a stud. They chose violence instead.

We're redoing our whole kitchen and no cabinets will be right here, so we have a lot of holes to fix since apparently a hammer was the appropriate tool to locate studs in the 80s.
