you are young. You deal with a family that doesn’t trust you to do what others your age do in a safe manner (again, I know what that’s like it’s not a slam but I know what it can make a mind do). This is your first foray into SW which is an incredibly costly hobby and you just got your first corals.

anyone would worry. Heck, I can’t say for sure I won’t be bothering the bejebus out of Jason and Frank when I finally have my tank set up and have corals. I like to think I won’t because I’ve already decided what my mindset is and my MO will be but yeah.

no shame in worrying. Just like I said before, don’t let the worry overshadow your enjoyment. And look at that, everyone was right. Your torch looks great my guy.

So I am in the lab and I am working on some calculations for KOH in my tank.

Did an advanced volume calculation to determine my total water volume is 405L

Does this look right??? Currently I have the KOH diluted to a concentration of 0.21M instead of the 0.85M so that I can dose 3mL instead of 0.8mL

Just seems ridiculously small to me, especially since I dosed 100mL yesterday at a concentration of 0.36M and it only raised the pH to 7.5

Ohhh I love math lol but wouldn’t determining how much to dose for PH be flawed due to it having too many variables ? Like CO2 concentration vs oxygen in tank / alkalinity / flow. I wouldn’t worry about PH , rather that you have good flow , cal alk and mg dialed in and maybe some open windows near tank?
