Ohhh I love math lol but wouldn’t determining how much to dose for PH be flawed due to it having too many variables ? Like CO2 concentration vs oxygen in tank / alkalinity / flow. I wouldn’t worry about PH , rather that you have good flow , cal alk and mg dialed in and maybe some open windows near tank?

Yes this calculation would be for a closed system, not an open thus all the factors you listed would be in play. I just want to get the pH up of 8.0 before I leave for the next two days.

Oh interesting , do you have any power heads pointed to the surface or does the water fall directly into the sump? I use a wet /dry filter and it keeps my PH pretty high , I was oxygen limited before (small apt) , you could also kalk drip but that’s how I got my alk to be 14 dkh lol

Did an advanced volume calculation to determine my total water volume is 405L

Does this look right??? Currently I have the KOH diluted to a concentration of 0.21M instead of the 0.85M so that I can dose 3mL instead of 0.8mL

Just seems ridiculously small to me, especially since I dosed 100mL yesterday at a concentration of 0.36M and it only raised the pH to 7.5

That is a hope I have to look forward to with my setup... once I decide on final tank layout now that I have too many options with too many tanks! ...definitely leaning toward going straight to the 125 even though it changes my plans and hinders current progress...

I have a powder brown thats nuts. Super nervous constantly darting around beating up my snails. Tomini is exact opposite and likes to hang out with my clowns. I think they have adopted him haha
I may see if I can bring powder brown back and trade for another peaceful tang that does work. Hes throwing off the vibe in the tank lol
