ah no problem, I figured out what thread you were talking about and read 1 page and got the hell outta there. No place for me that's for sure.

I've got Brandon on ignore, I got my degree in arts and literature and I'm a better scientist than that 'individual.'
Which Brandon are you guys talking about lol

I went with this tubing I got at lfs. Male end slides into bulk head, glued and done. Its 1" overflows but the corrugated tubing opens up to probably almost 1.5". Also went with 1.5" up top.
Its going to be wierd when I tear down the other table. Its all u can hear in the room at this point

Are there any issues with the corrugation increasing likelihood of growth blocking the tubes? I like the concept of flexibility, but don't like the potential likelihood of blockage (if so?).

If you don't know, it probably doesn't matter for you. ;)
Just watch for threads about cycling, sand, and rip-cleaning tanks... and note the number 429...
I didn't even see the thread in question and knew immediately who it was

I agree with @BeltedCoyote 's previous post that Brandon shares good information with historical studies and links behind it and that is probably very beneficial for new members with no idea about cycling, but the presentation of the information could be better...

Possibly and something to keep in back of mind. But don't see it being much of a problem in system I just set up. I'm probably turning tank over 4-6 x an hr cutting gph in half and assuming im losing half but probably more like 6-8. Overflows are flowing heavy. Silent but deadly haha

I think I may have to start dosing ALK. Mine drops roughly 0.8 in the week between water changes. eg 8.4 to 7.6
After the wc it goes back to the 8.4 ish.
Just a 20g tank.
Does this sound like too much of a drop in a week?
Id personally dose and maintain levels your salt mixes to.
BTW what salt mix are you using that mixes to 8.4?
