Dude you need to re-evaluate everything you’ve read here.

And re-evaluate how you talk to people

I think people should do what they feel is the right thing.

But don’t ask for advise if your going to ignore the advise given.

I started out with QT (again exception is my mandarins) so if I add fish I will probably continue this path

But then I don’t dip corals so there ya go lol

I agree for the most part. However, in this particular aquaristic ( new word ) pursuit , if I was to ask for advice in the main part of this forum ( not this thread ) I would receive 10 different opinions and forms of advice. So I would either ignore 9 of them and follow 1 or ignore all and go with my own decision. So in this particular case my given advice will either be accepted or ignored.
And as you said, people should do what they think is right.

Well, maybe I’m just misinformed.

How long does it take a new fish to develop diseases in a new tank?
Unanswerable.
Some of us believe stress brings outbreaks.
So a healthy happy fish, although it has a given parasite will never have an out break.

I was just asking a genuine question, chill.
And I was answering said question genuinely.
Ok. Last reply.
Search Paul B under members.
He has the oldest running salt water tank in the country. Fifty years more or less.
He wrote a book. Buy it.
Good luck with your tank.

No you didn’t. You were mocking me due to my previous comment.

Stress can cause many issues, which can lead to diseases.

It’s completely false that just because a fish is healthy and happy, and if it’s given a parasite, that it will be just fine. If you took a perfectly happy/healthy fish, and threw a vial of ich in the tank, it WILL get infected, regardless of the status of the fish.

Hi, James! I don’t see where Mike mocked you, at all, by saying that the question was “unanswerable”. It isn’t a simple answer, so what you asked is essentially that. Unanswerable. He then gave sound advice, which you still are ignoring…and that is the only thing really shameful about any of this.

There are plenty of fish in the sea with parasites in their guts that are “healthy and happy”. The point of qt is to ensure that the ones in your tank stay healthy and happy. If you choose not to qt/treat fish, you are taking the risk of bringing in someone unwanted. You said you didn’t want to do a full qt, now you’re saying that throwing a “vial of ich” in your tank will indeed infect everything. Which is basically what a fish infected with ich is. So which is it?

That’s something you need to decide, instead of waiting for someone to agree with you…

And try to take a step back every now and then, breathe, and reassess the situation. Re-evaluate what you read here, like Becca said. Nobody was mocking you. Stress can cause many issues, though… ;) “Chill”.

Hey, all. Stefan wanted me to let you know that Heather is in the ER with possible appendicitis. He apparently locked himself out of R2R, so he couldn't tell you himself. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers. He's feeling pretty frustrated that he can't do anything to help her

I should have a frag tank set up by then. Just need to beat Rebecca.

30-40 vendors.
a lot of out of state sellers show up.
