I always seem to have issue with my hermits eating my snails....
i get the tiniest hermits.
there's enough empty snail shells of various sizes in mine the crabs don't need to kill any snails to upgrade their housing.
when they get too big, they get rehomed and I add in the next dozen.

i'm double digit on the hermits and nasarius.
i might even be triple digit on nasarius. lots and lots of babies.
dusk/feeding time and the sand looks like its moving when they all surface.

I need to re-up on nass snails as soon as I catch and cook the dotty back! It's killed at least a dozen since going back in the tank.

Little sheet head!

I love my nassarius snails. They scavenge the floor, steal food from my shrooms if they are quick enough and some even head up to top of water line to find floaters:D
My hermits literally spit shine my shrooms and spin the discs to get at whatever algae they can find its funny to watch them.

Haven't had that issue with new tank. Bumblebees and trochus where notorious for climbing out of tubs. Cant wait to get these lids built next cpl days and get some more in tanks. Especially bumblebee as ive got a mini population of swirly snails trying to take over.

Neon. Frank even warned me that when they hit three and a half to four inches, They have the habit of turning into fish killers and eating your clean up crew. Did my own research and confirmed. I had no intention of him going back into the display tank. When everyone else went in he was caught and put into a holding container before heading to the fish store hanging in the DT. I came back and that little Richard had Free willied the container and was back in the tank.
Day one feeding, The zombies start coming up and the d back doesn't even care about food anymore. Just went nuts. Any of mine that I have left are missing their unicorn horn because he's bit it off.

One last thing is it worth getting a sand sifting goby ?
my opinion, if the pics on your thread are the latest, you don't have enough open space for one.
and if you had more open space, i would go with conchs over a sand sifter goby. no mess with conchs.

I’ll take your advice don’t wanna put a fish in a tank if it’s not gonna thrive , I’ll look in the conch thou
