Did someone mention hot tub suppliers a few days ago or is there a quality difference?
I looked into some of that and seemed pretty flimsy to me so I moved on. Something I felt could be a problem was the ridges on the inside of the line getting growth in the pipe.

sticker shock.
need to find somewhere that sells it buy the foot instead of a full roll.
Let me check part number on the ends I cut off. The stuff I got at lfs is alot more ridgid/durable than the stuff I seen for hot tubs. Think I paid 8 dollars for a 6' piece at lfs. Probably way cheaper on amazon.

Sorry Mike i missed this response. I bought 100' to plumb everything but they sell a 25' roll at the depot for $60
Keep in mind, this stuff even though its flex pipe, its still pretty ridged and wont make a tight turn. A 90deg bend ends up being about a foot or so..

Good Morning Frank and Friends!

Lots of talk last night about cuc which is interesting since we are trying to decide how much to get for our 2 tanks.
I've got a 120 4x2x2 and a cube 24x24x21.
ReefCleaners recommends this package just for the 120... https://www.reefcleaners.org/store/quick-crew-120-high-detail
Seem like a lot for 1 tank.

Those cuc packages are crazy imo. In my 20g cube I have 3 Nassarius, 3 ceriths, 3 Trochus, 3 astrea, a money cowrie (maybe), 3 turbos and no crabs. They do the job. I cant imagine what 50 snails in a 20g would look like.
I think variety is the most important part.

start with a few of each and increase their number as your bio load increases.

Thx guys! I was thinking the same. Handful of each should be good to start.

I agree! I have a 90g cube (107g system) and I started with their 36 gal CUC.

After 2 months I then bought the 60 gal CUC :)

Since then about ever 4-6 months I buy a snail only CUC between 20-36 gal

Good Morning Alimac. How are you?

Busy as ever but somehow managing my stress insanely well!
In the lab M-F in the morning and then bartending 4 nights a week 5-10pm.
So I only have 1 full day off a week if im lucky and work 14 hour days ~3 days a week. But my mentality couldnt be better!

How's everyone else???
