Update on the tank:

Had a very heated discussion with my dad about it.

And I quote, “You need to find a way to protect against leaks, in case one occurs”.

I tried to explain to him that the only possible area for it to leak is underneath on the connection points, and then he said “I don’t care where it leaks, I just don’t want 40 gallons of water all over my floor”

I also tried to bring up the homeowners insurance and he said “do you not realize that I have to pay that insurance!?”.

Also brought up the fridge/dishwasher, and he said “well, I would never put either of those in the living room anyway so that’s besides the point.

One thing to point out about my dad, is that he always has to be right. Always.

—-

So what do I do?

He “suggested” that I “just put some plastic in their so if the connection points do leak, then the water will just run back into the sump. And also put a piece of plexiglass over the front of it”

Now I don’t see how THAT would prevent it from leaking…. ;Penguin;Penguin
