It’s very much the history of middle earth, creation story, cosmology, etc. it’s format is more akin to the Icelandic creation sagas Ala the voluspa (the saga detailing the Norse creation myth) than a fantasy novel. Idk. Not for everyone but very good if you like diving deep into this sort of thing
