Just got this bad boy yesterday, had to show it off . . .

I believe it is Acanthastrea bowerbanki . . . if anybody knows any further classification, let me know please

Nice addition Randy!! I haven't seen very many acans in person, Its getting close to time for another pilgramage so we can come take a look in person.:bigsmile:

its definatly pretty. Most of the bowerbanki i,ve seenare orangish. Is the purply pink/red color the photo? I'm envious either way. Later

Some of the pink is the photo; didn't reset the white balance. This is in a tank at school, so the balance was off and it came out a little too pink/purple. In person however it is a gorgeous purple, and a large colony.
