Evening,

I can’t remember how to set it up, been that long. Looks right. Ozone resistant tubing. Skimmer, controller, probe. But that’s about all I remember. (I’m old and bad memory :) ) We do have some good ozone folk around though . See if some stop by

The only thing I would add, which I do, is exhaust my skimmer “air” to the outside. My skimmer is sealed, so the air has to go out through a fitting in my collection cup. In order to keep any ozone from entering my house, I have a tube that vents my skimmer exhaust outside. Ozone is pretty pungent smelling and can be dangerous at elevated levels. So I’d recommend minimizing your health risk by venting skimmer exhaust outside. This also has the added benefit of minimizing humidity too.

Did you buy an MC510 yet?

Thanks for the advice, yes I have bought the mc510. here's a pic of the final setup. my orp tested at 135 when I first turned it on now I'm hovering around 350 I may look into venting outside. right now I have a carbon pad sitting on top of my collection cup. it has been almost 24hrs and about 1/4 of my first air dryer chamber has changed color already.

Ahh. Too bad. Because I have a gently used MC510 sitting in my basement, with a brand new probe that I don't need anymore. I recently got the Milwaukee MC125, which has both pH and ORP, so I don't need the single ORP controller anymore.

The carbon should help. I didn't use it myself, because I vented mine outside. But wow. 135 is pretty low. The ozone generator probably ran for a while to bring that up. I try to keep mine between 350 and 400, but sometimes mine naturally drifts above 400.

One more question. Did you put an air drier in front of your ozone generator? I bought mine as kit from BRS, and the corona discharge ozone generators last longer with dry air. You can see the media reactor with the pink crystals that has the air drier in mine. BRS sells it. But I don't know if your generator recommends the dried air.

Dang I bet I could have got me a good deal on that controller. Oh well as for the air dryer. Yes its in front of the ozone gen. Im running a dule reactor so I dont have to dry the media that often. I get about 4 days out of one reactor. Right now I have got it set to about 375. But my rises and falls at random. Im trying to identify what cause the rise and fall. Water looks great tho and the increase of oxygen levels in my tank can only be a postive.

Is it a must to run it under ozone safe skimmer? I have a CPR AF2 skimmer, which is not an ozone safe skimmer. Can I buy an ozone proof T and t'd into the skimmer air line?

Let us know of your experience with the wiepro unit. I had one 2 years ago that stopped working after a month. Going to try again with one of the uv ozone generators, no air drying, just bulb changing.
Must be nice to see that orp level.
