Admittedly, it's 1 a cheap $15 set. The other one is pretty quiet. I've had it about a month but it's not even been plugged in a week. I bought it bc I wanted a cheap one to mix saltwater, and possibly for a quarantine tank later on. I'm not super pressed bc I mean, it was $15 & I plan to get another once my tank is done cycling, but I'd like to know if it's just bc it's cheap or bc I need to clean it. How often should we be cleaning these things? I definitely want to get my maintenance right for when I buy a better quality one. Also, I would not like to be electrocuted...Thanks ahead for any feedback.

Either reverse polarity OR check impeller as a snail or sand may be lodged in there

New powerhead and pumps will be loud until they develop a bacteria slime that makes them more quiet. If it's new, give it some time (weeks to months?), and it will probably become much more quiet.

Never had any power heads buzz unless there was an issue. I’ve been through and sold many many types.
I just installed two Ai Nero 5 which are dead silent.
Same with multiple WAV pumps on my large tank
