Jumped on board, obviously, and have to say that it sounds like you had an exciting and "fun" filled day yesterday!

I'm not sure what exactly just happened but, apparently, R2R liked my previous post so much it decided to post it four times and delete the original. Very strange...
I’m a little slow this morning (I blame the time change), so I may be missing it. What was your original post? All I see is “duplicate”

Okay this is weird. Your posts did t show up until after the duplicates and the one I just posted was suppose to be this morning and never posted:p

You have no idea. If I didn’t know better, I’d think this tank had it out for me
BTW - a very happy International Women's Day to you today!
Thank you. I didn’t know there was an International Women’s Day.

"Blame the time change." I like it! Unfortunately, I'm a little slow every morning and there doesn't seem to be enough other things to blame! ;)

R2R mysteriously deleted my original post. As in, POOF! and it was gone. This is why I reposted it when I said, "Jumped on board, obviously, and have to say that it sounds like you had an exciting and "fun" filled day yesterday!"

Thank you. I didn’t know there was an International Women’s Day.

Yes, and it has been celebrated longer than Mother's Day. While, unfortunately, it is not widely known here, it is a big day throughout most of Europe.

Okay, it’s time for me to continue my updates. No more thinking about virus :p

I really hate gluing frags. May have something to do with the fact I’m not very good at it. Anyway, I’m on my last frag, and was rushing (bad move in this hobby) to finish. Instead of putting the glue on over my little dish outside of the tank, I was holding the frag over the tank. Guess my fingers were tired, because I dropped the frag and some of the glue came off when the power head hit it...

my baby will eat anything, including glue. Needless to say, I freaked. I was very relieved when it came off later that night. I wish I could say I never put glue on a frag directly over the water again...

Fast forward to July. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a great month. I had to go down south to help move my dad to a respite/rehab facility to finish therapy for a broken hip. I arranged for my LFS to come check on the tank & do water changes. Daughter was in charge of feeding. I did all my tank maintenance the day before I left..cleanEd tank (left skimmer to clean right befor I left), refill dosing & ato containers, double checked all my connections to my Apex. Everything was good. Now time to feed the fish. Hit feed mode, feed the fish and now off to pack. About an hour later, I notice the return pump and the skimmer didn’t come back on. An HOUR later, I get it up and running. Two of the outlets weren’t working, correctly, so moved the important stuff to working outlets and plugged everything else to a power strip. Off to bed.
I get up to get a drink of water and hear a familiar hissing sound coming from sump area. My skimmer freaked again and all the disgusting stuff was now running through my clean tank. It completely covered the interior of the sump and the small was horrendous. Of course I didn’t have salt water made ;Woot

I can destroy a room in no time;Wacky

If you haven’t figured it out yet, I hate my skimmer.

So, this isn’t reef related, but is too awesome to ignore. My daughter, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, took me to see the Rolling Stones on my birthday. It was literally on my birthday. The concert was originally supposed to be the end of April, but Mick Jagger had to have heart surgery. You would have never known watching him perform2 1/2 months later. People with AS tend to have sensory issues, and one of hers is hearing. To her, the sound was twice as loud as it would be to us! It was awesome! Only downside was we both forgot to charge our phones

‘There was a guy a few rows down that was jammin..dancing all over the place. The concert hadn’t started yet. It was priceless, she looks up, just stares with a serious expression, grabs her phone and starts taping and then bursts out laughing..

When I set up the tank, I paid someone to build a controller board for me. It’s was supposed to be similar to @Broadfield original setup. Gave him pics..easy peasy, right? Wrong. He shows up with VINYL covered wood.. long story short, this is what happened after 3 months.

I tore everything out, but could only do a quick fix because I was leaving for MACNA in Orlando

All this going on, and I realize the doors on my RSR cabinet don’t match

When we purchased everything, one of the doors was damaged during shipping, so Red Sea sent us another one. That was two years prior! My observation skills are definitely lacking ;Wacky

Next stop was MACNA. I was so psyched about this trip, but Hurricane Dorian almost cancelled it. I was concerned about getting trapped in Orlando..

Growing up in Florida, I was well aware of how unpredictable they are. We lived in south florida when Hurricane Andrew hit FL. Went to bed that night with our news saying it was going to come on land close to Palm Beach County (where we lived) as a CAT 2 and woke up to a CAT 5 going through Dade County. My cousin lived in Homestead at the time. Lisa, her husband, two girls and their two dogs spent 4 hours in a small bathroom, with 3 feet of water. Needless to say, I was convinced I shouldn’t go. MACNA said it was still on... they were following the lead of WDW, so husband convinced me to go. Woke up bright and early, packed and ready. Only thing left to do was feed the fish. Put the Apex in feed mode..nothing happened. My eb8 decided to die. I was not a happy bunny. Luckily, my new eb832 was in a closet waiting for me to add to my system...

Walking by the tank I noticed one of the picasso’s was missing. I couldn’t find him anywhere. As a last resort, I checked the overflow. Imagine my surprise when I had this little orange face looking up at me. I tried for 1/2 hour to get him out. My daughter comes out and say’s “let me try”. I ignore her, too busy concentrating on how to get him out. There isn’t a lot of room to maneuver around the RSR 425‘s overflow. Again she asks..nope, I got this. Finally, I give up, tried everything. I step off the ladder and she’s standing behind me with a net almost as big as the overflow. I’m thinking to myself, “yeah right, like that’s going to work.” 5 minutes later, she’s celebrating saving the fish...I hate it when that happens ;Shifty
