what is the most QUIET skimmer on the market?

Would a Nyos 160 be too small for the Waterbox 220.6, it says its good 100-250 Gallons and I could use more room in my sump

I wear hearing aids so I don't have a recommendation on a replacement. I am wondering if the skimmer could be set upon a damping pad to improve your experience? Humming might be reduced/silenced by reducing vibrations (unless you are dealing with a noisy impeller?)

Going deaf like me is the other option but I can't recommend that really.

Look at Deltec super quiet uses dc pump, it's the only skimmer I buy. The 600i or the 1000i would be a good choice for your application.

Really depends on your tank's inhabitants and feeding routine, but I would say that skimmer would not keep up with the bio load on a tank that size.
