My RODI is usually 0. I have Hi PPM in my water mid 250 + but I usually read 0 through RODI.

It just crept up to 5 so I changed all 3 filters and usually it goes down to 0 but its now bouncing at 2 - 4 PPM.

Do I need a new membrane? I have never changed that the system is 2 years old.

Thoughts?

Did you get mixed bed resin?
Did you pack it in pretty tight?
DId you let it run for 15 min to flush out any stuff in the lines?
The resin should remove what the RO does not even with 250. It will burn thru resin quickly if your membrane is used up or clogged.
I would start by repacking the resin then replacing the membrane.

I have an old 888

I thought I packed it tight. If I messed anything up that would be it but I have changed out all 3 filters many times before with no issue. That does not of course mean I did not somehow leave a gap in it.

I packed it down with a bottle pretty good. I did order a new resin in case that was the issue.

The other 2 filters you really cant mess up

Are you getting the 2-4 TDS after DI or after your membrane?

Do you consistently monitor your incoming TDS and the TDS after the RO?

If so what do you typically see vs what you see now?

Your membrane should still be fine, but depending on how much chlorine exposure and other factors it may be time to replace, Usually most of us should be able to get 4+ if maintained properly.

Do you flush the RO membrane occasionally?
I wouldn't worry about your TDS at that low range. For all you know it's calcium. My well water in Colorado had high calcium hardness. My SPS loved it straight from the tap.

Another thing which did happen recently in another thread I helped out in, the TDS sensor probe needed cleaned.

The probes will eventually become fouled and need cleaned and/or calibrated. If yours is 2 years old and never been cleaned or calibrated it wouldn't hurt to clean them and verify the calibration on the probes.

Especially if the membrane is fine and your DI is packed properly.

One other note, ensure you didn't crack or damage the seals on the refillable cartridge.
