@attiland you should get your UK club to ask a nationwide UK distributor to carry it.
Occasionally it pops up here and there for horror prices. I think it is to do with the shelves life of the product.
When I connected the manufacturer I didn’t even got an answer. having said that they were starting on their website they are working on COVID-19 project with most of their capacity.
I really wanted to use it. Eventually I managed to seed my tank in a different way. Saved £60+

Getting my ATO setup to help eliminate my daily top offs! Opted for the IM hydrofill ti reservoir (15g) because it looks really sharp! And, I debated putting one inside the stand, but will need room for carbon reactor later. So to save space, I went with this. Since it will be sitting outside the stand, I don’t want anything unsightly and this compliments the tank and stand nicely. Waiting on the Tunze ATO assemolater to arrive next week!

Been a few days since I’ve posted some updates... but the holidays got me behind! Let’s recap....

last week came home and noticed my apex had somehow shut off my heaters.. learned that my programming was off. The water got to 72. But nothing seemed too effected. Was able to figure out the issue thanks to R2R and some helpful people who told me to program the apex appropriately! Now, it’s running no issues with the inkbird finally!

I was scheduled to receive my Tunze osomolator to finish off my ATO. It was scheduled for delivery on 12/23, but got delayed to 12/24. Got home from work excited to set that up but the package was not on the front porch. Had to go through the “claims” process with UPS. The package dude arrive on Christmas Day. I think someone got it and turned it into my front office and they contacted me! Anyways, it was a Christmas surprise. The ATO is working well. The first time it ran,I couldn’t figure out why the water kept running after the pump shut off, and realized that the ATO water level was slightly higher than the sump level so it created a siphon. Had to find out how to keep the ATO line higher, so did a Pvc T fitting with 1/2” pvc pip to run to the sump to limit noise and splash. So far working well!

also, my wife was excited to go to the store on 12/24 to grab some snails and crabs to start the CUC! Got 15 blue legged hermits and 15 different snails. They are already doing an awesome job!

12/27, did my first official 20% water change. I did one previously but that was after cycle and just pulled out old water and added new. Today was siphoning sand bed and blowing live rock, cleaning filters etc. already looks amazing! Excited to keep going.

things coming along nicely. what kick started this build was winning the BRS customer appreciation week. Ordered an item and received a free apex Es unit. That kinda sent me into hyperdrive!

doing a lot of research on lighting and equipment, we opted for the Radion xr15 blues (love them) with an eco tech mp40. Love how they all sync together in the mobius app!

just grabbed a skimmer from the Black Friday deals and deal great that I saved around $125 on this important piece of equipment.

we also grabbed some Marco rock and picked up some seeded LR from one of our favorite LFS to help start the cycle.
Thanks for posting your build I, getting back into the hobby after a very long hiatus as well and have the 250 on its way. I was wondering what other lights made your list for consideration? I settled on the Red Sea 90s as the par value seemed very even throughout. I look forward to following your progress!

Cheers
Neil

Thanks! Can’t wait to see yours soon as well. The lights that I was looking at was the Red Sea, the kessils and the AI lights. I just liked everything I read about the radions and really good reviews. Back before I left the hobby, eco tech was just starting to come into the game and their lights were highly regarded when LEDs first hit. Plus their MP line of wave makers were amazing. So with the prior knowledge and the high remarks just went that route. Really happy with them!

First signs of red coralline algae! Starting to see quite a bit of pink coralline growing already on the rocks! Looks like the the purple helix and pink fusion worked!

this week been battling a bit of green algae on the rocks. Doesn’t appear to be GHA, it’s just went from the brown diatoms to a green color now. Turned my white lights down to help running my blues at 100% and the schedule intensity at 50%.

finally also glued the zoa frags to their rock today!

finished second water change pulling out 5 gal of water mainly to siphon as much of the algae on sand as I could. Changed out carbon.

Added a C02 scrubber to my air intake line of my skimmer. Hoping this will help bring my PH up slightly. Been topping out around 7.99 during peak daytime, dropping to around 7.7-7.8 at night. The swing isn’t crazy, but I want this over 8.0. Hoping adding the new icecap C02 scrubber will help buffer it. Today is day 1, I’ll keep it updated!

Did some maintenance today. Noticed that my glass scrapper just couldn’t make it past 2 points on my rock work, but I had some room to move them closer. I also had a piece of rock that I could use to create an arch to connect the two islands. I’m liking it! Also, sorry for the quality of the photo, as this was taking right after the water change and attempting to use my new ice cap filter. Not sure I nailed it, but got the shot!

@dmy535 how are your pH levels doing?
On January 31st (yesterday) it dipped a bit, but I had pumps off and performed a water change not to mention we were home and stuck indoors yesterday with a huge snowstorm so dipped to 7.66. But it’s up over 8.03 today currently. and still going up. It hasn’t topped over 7.9 before (except day 2 from scrubber on 1/29 when it hit 8.08. So overall, the scrubber is helping with the PH!

Thanks. I have my two clowns. But for more fish, probably a starry blenny and then a watchman goby and pistol shrimp pair (had one on my last tank and love them). Maybe a 6-line or a basslet. That pretty much may takes care of the fish. I’m more into inverts and corals!
