@Dolelo96 what are we dipping? I have tons of recipes.
@Eagle_Steve
What has survived so far..

‘Space Invader Pectinia
giant duncan
hammer
purple frogspawn
torches
goni’s
zoa/palys
UC Hesher Head Bowerbanki
trachyphillia
leptoseris
favia
cyphastrea
stylo
porites
beach bum, slow burn & grafted sun monti

MAYBE..depends on what I have to do to it and when..
Tubs Stellata
sanjay milka stylo
JF strawberry fields & daffodil hill acro
tyree lime in the sky stag.

The tub they live in is COVERED in cyno and who knows what else. Everything in there is stressed..parameter swings galore and the only filtration has been a skimmer. I really really REALLY don’t want cyno in the new tank.

Speaking of new tank, the water is still very cloudy. Wasn’t this bad last time I cycled a tank. LFS did a water change on Saturday, still cloudy. Maybe a bacterial bloom? If so, it’s one heck of a bloom..

I know first pic is blurry, but it really is that cloudy:p

If it is only that, that is easy.

Can you remove most from the tub? If not, do you have a spare tank?

Either works, as this would the only time I would use chemi-clean. Treat either the tub or the spare tank by the directions, then rinse all corals before you move to the new tank.

Being as we know the issue, we are not just throwing chemi-clean at it like most do.

Easiest way and it does kill the red slime of ugliness.

I don’t have extra tank big enough..only tub. Is it okay to do this without a proper return pump? Only filtration in the tub is the skimmer and I know you can’t run it while using chemical clean..

Two more questions..

anyone have any idea why the new tank is still so cloudy? (pics a few posts back)

Found these poking out through a zoa colony and the bottom of a dead acro..maybe some type of sponge. Any ideas?

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I am a coral addict with an apparent fireworm problem in my tank.

Nice to meet you.

I’ve been frequenting Frank’s thread, I pop up now and the. On others builds. And now I’m here on yours!

Started reading your thread from the beginning and by middle of the first post I realized I forgot to test my DKH! So thank you for that reminder.

Here is a little bit of pretty spam :)

I’ll get back to reading the build :)

You can run the skimmer, but it is going to be a foamy mess. Do you have a spare powerhead? You could use that for circulation. Biggest thing is circulation.

Nice to meet you Rebeca, I had a coral addiction too, but haven’t been able to feed it lately…These spam pics are triggering coral envy/withdrawal symptoms.

It's nice to meet you, Rebecca. My name is Christine. I had a coral addiction too, but I haven't been able to feed it lately. These spam pictures are triggering coral/envy withdrawal symptoms...Your tank is beautiful! I’m supposed

Fireworms are my enemy, as are vermetid snails and cyno. I can't stand them; they are the bane of my existence. They overtook my previous tank, which is why none of my old live rock has gone into the new tank. Now I just have to figure out how to got my corals removed from the old rock, dipped, scrubbed or both, while keeping some semblance of my sanity
:p

Everything I’ve read says the skimmer goes nuts if it runs during treatment. Also, I have a co2 scrubber attached to the skimmer. If I don’t run it my ph will drop to 7.5-7.77.
