I really am over all this. There is no way I can remove/dip/scrape off 5 years worth of corals.

;Shifty ;Shifty ;Shiftyyou can do this ,use separate dip buckets ,to clean and dip at your own pace..
it's pouting ,waiting for your coral.Any idea why the new tank water is still cloudy?

on serious note, bacterial bloom? have you tried a sack of carbon? chemipure ? should clear in a day ?
Is your co2 scrubber recirculating? If not, just remove the cup. Same principle as a pump, but cannot over fill and cause a mess.Everything I’ve read says the skimmer goes nuts if it runs during treatment. Also, I have a co2 scrubber attached to the skimmer. If I don’t run it my ph will drop to 7.5-7.77.
Ha Ha Didn’t think I should run carbon on a new tank. Didn’t have this problem on my last two tankit's pouting ,waiting for your coral.

I have carbon..thought it would kill good bacteria tooWhat the boy means is have you added carbon of an appropriate amount to water volume, currently running half a cup of carbon in approx 125G water volume due to a leather letting go, maybe do a cup?
(Frank will forgive me!)
Great minds think alike…I had my little assembly line..dip & scrub, quick rinse, final rinse and in the tank they went. These corals have gone through too much to start messing with peroxide. I didn’t move everything..started working on things that weren’t attached to rock. Not sure how to handle my trachy..he’s BIG..was about 9 inches when he went into the tub four months ago;WootIs your co2 scrubber recirculating? If not, just remove the cup. Also, you can do a few hour soak and then rinse the corals off in untreated water.
I can say this, I have bought a full tank of corals from a severely neglected tank with a ton of Cyano. I just rinsed and quickly scrubbed them and plopped them in the qt tank with no issues.
Remember, it is always in every tank. It just goes nuts when it has tons of food and not much flow. New tank has flow and no excess nutrients. So it should not promote the cyano growing out of control.
no photo attachment?Found these on Amazon..loved them! Had one with with the dip and one with rinse water. The strainers made it a lot easier
Genius!!Ugh...;Dead
I am right there with you especially the migraine part. Not disappearing again. Wasn’t able to move anymore corals..ALLERGIES…I really dislike pollen, dust & migraines ;Shifty;Shifty;Shifty;Shifty
hope everyone had a good day
