Kendall is at the Tampa Aquarium. Took this pic for me. She titled it, “The Garden of Anger”.
Get it? They’re Garden Eels :)

@Dakkokki I decided since I was already in trouble for only sharing pics of you when you were 4, I might as well show pics when you were born:cool:

Twenty-five years ago today, the most beautiful baby girl was born at 2:22 pm, weighing 9lbs 2oz, and she was 22 inches long. She has been and always will be such a blessing in our lives.

We love you baby girl!!! Happy Birthday!

Put K’s bday cake in oven yesterday and went to feed tank. Longfin Fairy wrasse didn’t come out to eat. He’s always the first out. Found him on the sand bed.

He was fine the night before. No marks on him fins fine. No stringy poop. Checked him over after finding him and still no marks. Only thing off is his underside should be white? When I found him in was grey/black..
Feed 3xday alternate PE Mysis & LRS Reef Frenzy. Some nori for fox face

I looked at a video you posted and saw him swimming around in it, nothing about him looked "off" to me. I don't see anything in the pics either, the smoky look to his ventral side isn't uncommon in this species but it becomes more pronounced postmortem. I'm sorry for your loss :(

So much to catch up on but hello! Sorry for the loss. Many times wrasse can be fine then die after you bring them home. They can be hit and miss. I try to get them after they been in lfs for minimum of two weeks. Could he have been bullied? Wrasse don’t normally do well with stress.
Anyway don’t give up and try again!

Long din fairy’s can be more aggressive watch them.

I love my top lid!

bimac anthias you have great taste.
Tank is looking great after a long journey
Love my Top Lid too! I promised Tyler I would get some pics for him of the lid on my tank. I had just finished getting tank cleaned up yesterday, but didnt have one side of the lid placed properly and it fell into the tank..water everywhere…only me :p

How are you doing? I havent been around much, but trying to rectify that. Hope your well!

Many times wrasse are called names that are more general and could be a different fish. That said it he one you asked about is middle of the road aggression and you should be ok. Wrasse can be hit or miss specially when they turn or are male and start maturing.
I always recommend females and smaller the better
Also if you have an acclimation box to keep the new comers in before setting them free helps. Aloes new fish to adjust some and established fish to see and feel out the new fish. Sorry for so many suggestions but it also helped me. Wrasse are like tangs towards new comers of their own kind but wrasse don’t tolerate stress well and get feelings hurt easily

I lost my lid in the tank too. More then once lol. Not the tops fault but mine. I haven’t been around much the past year I think. Last I remember you were waiting on a replacement tank. I been ok and will be better if I can get the upgrade tank finished. Hope your feeling better. Nasty colds going around.

One last thing with wrasse. Multiple feedings are better if possible and full belly’s keep the aggression down. I will feed little heavier for a few days adding new ones.
I naturally feed heavy. My Lyretai Anthias and Whitetail Bristletooth were much nicer when full

You ordering from TSM? Tsm is one of two stores I get fish and inverts. Tsm is local and they go above and beyond. I can’t say enough about them and amazing store to see behind the scenes.

It’s more aggressive for a fairy but you should be ok specifically in a 6’ tank.
