Ya know for that price you could get you a very nice set of Reefi's...just a thought ;)

I don't think the spread is there with the Reefi's to keep it to two fixtures and it they aren't any cheaper than the other options

You'd probably need 3 of them, and at $650 each + your extra import taxes and such they probably wouldn't be a ton cheaper, but I imagine they'd still be less than $3800

3 of them come in around 3k so $800 orso less, you think they can handle the 30" width of the tank?

So those numbers are for the Duo Extreme, Three extremes lands me at $3500 if I go that route. Although I might be able to get away with two of them which is a little easier on the wallet ;Smuggrin

Yes for the extreme...there is a coupon code on the Reefi home page "REEFI LOVE" I think, that gives you $100 off per unit...so, the extremes are then $650 each. Just have to make sure you spread your love of the lights once you get them ;)

Edit: I have the extremes on my 75...and so far they are great, zero complaints. Currently running them at about 80 watts at peak of the schedule, still no corals in the tank so no need to run them any higher. Will try to get home in time tomorrow and get pics of peak lighting. Running them somewhere around 12500-14000k

Btw how'd you get $3800 with the Stratons? Our MAP up here is $1540 per fixture.

Honestly I hadn't looked up here yet, was basing pricing off exchange rate and taxes from purchasing from the US. I figured just like everything else it was released in the US first and hadn't been released in Canada yet. After taxes two is still 3200ish so 600 less than buying from the US which is really nice.

Where did you see it available in Canada? JLA?

Are t5s out of the question? You could get away with a great looking fixture for a cheaper price tag ;)
Just keep the wife happy! You Don’t want to get the looks I get from mama when I spend money on my tank lol :p

Nowhere yet, I just talked with ATI NA directly and Keith stated the MAP, and that any vendor up here can order the Straton in now, just like they would one of the larger power module fixtures that no one realistically stocks, etc.

Thank you, I can't take all the credit I just came up with the Idea, the builder Kyle at Adaptive Reef is the one who brought my vision to reality. :)

Interesting, I'll have to throw a few emails out there and see who is willing to bring them in. Not sure who I want to buy them through yet, haven't been a fan of a couple of the vendors lately that used to be my go to's

They are "Acans", hungry ones although they had just finished a meaty dinner shortly before. I'm not sure what type they are, they were sent by mistake when I ordered a different type of Acan.
