Hi guys,
recently I bought used Skimz SN127 with DC pump and thought it was bargain...
But after a while I tried to power it on and it works loudly. I disassembled it and the pump (Skimz QPS 1.2) vibrates. Even with detached pinwheel it shakes (so imbalance of the pinweel is not an issue). The impeller is clean itself, as well as the pump.
Also it consumes a bit more than expected: 17W instead of 13W at max speed.

How could I make it silent again? Will only replace help?

Sure seems like an internal pump issue. Can you get a replacement pump?

Yeah, but unfortunately only one online shop in my country has that replacement. AFAIK those pumps are discontinued. Anyway, I guess it's the only way to avoid this too noisy humming so probably I need to buy one.

By the way, how reliable is the impeller or I also should buy additional one? I remembered my old, but gold Deltec 600 that worked about 5-6 years without any troubles, just spent $5-7 for ceramic shaft cups replacements.
