Hello and happy new year,
my name is Andreas, I am from Germany and I am just as sea water crazy as you are!
After a break of 9 years I´m back ;-)
I live close to Ramstein - where also many Americans live. If you are transferred there and need support - contact me. I know all the stores in the area
I run my aquarium as follows - lifetime 9 months:
Aqua Medic Xenia 130 (130x65x55 cm - 4,26x2,13x1,8); approx. 115 gallon
Return Pump: Abyzz A200
Skimmer: Deltec 1000xi
Stream: 2x Tunze 6095; 1x Jeabao Slw 20
Lighting: 4x54 Watt T5 (2x ATI Aquablue Special; 2x ATI Blue Plus)
Evergrow IT 5012 B comparable to Reefbreeders Photon 50-V2+ (1 inch above water surface)
Kh and Ca: Solution with trace elements (Fauna Marin Balling light)
Other traces: Sangokai Basis; KZ Sponge Power; KZ Zeostart 2
Water change: 3x/week each 5 gallons - different salt

In general I am very satisfied with the development of the aquarium.
However, the growth and the colors leave much to be desired.
I guess it could be due to the lighting....
The T5 run 8,5h/day.
The course of the Photon is as follows:
11am-12am: blue light phase
12pm-22pm: red and green 12% each; all blue 100%; UV 85%; white 50%.
22pm-23pm: blue light phase
How do you guys run your photon?
I'm thinking of swapping the Photon for 4 pieces of XR 15 Gen 5 (pro or blue) or 4 x Hydra 32.
Do you think that could make a difference?
Attached nice pictures ;-)
Good luck in 2021
Happy reefing

br Andy

I am not sure what you dislike about your corals I think they look great. Attached is a spreadsheet that I modified to match the BRS recommended spectrum. All you need to do is change the intensity in channel 3 and it will calculate the others to maintain the blend. Let me know your thoughts

Andreas your tank is stunning and due to how dense your aquarium Is packed I would stongly recommend the use of either the ATI straton or coral care v2.

Join the ATI straton group on Facebook and look at some of the tanks. You will have an easier time reading the posts than I. I have to click see translation on everyone even though I'm half German.

Here is one tank from the group. tank was very nice before the switch but in the 1 year since Straton his tank exploded.
