My parents got this toadstool from the local fish shop last week and they said it was as happy as larry. It has been two weeks since then and it still hasent opened up since then. I am worried that it is dying. It has gone through the shedding stage and everything. I don't know how to list my water parameters but here I go:
Specific Gravity – 1.021
Temperature – 26°C
pH – 8.2
Alkalinity – 8
Ammonia – 0
Nitrite – 0
Nitrate – 10ppm
Phosphate – 0.25ppm
Calcium – 520ppm

Your salinity is way too low! It should be more like 1.025 or 1.026. To remedy that you'll need to top the tank off with saltwater instead of freshwater and keep a very close eye on the SG. Your other parameters look fine though.
Good luck and God bless you!

It looks way over lit, even bleached. I would lower your light intensity a great deal.

Water parameters look good.

@Mr_Knightley is correct, your salinity is too low.

I like to start off all coral on the sand bed first. I've always run into worse problems with providing too much light then not enough light. Also like stated above I think you should raise your salinity up to 1.026

I think all will agree with raising salinity to 1.025-6. Do it slowly though. There are different ways to safely do it depending on the setup. I personally add salt directly to my sump but I only increase 0.0005/day.
