If your snail isnt eating something is wrong. Tank age? params? what algae? do you use tapwater?

I had one who ate Julian Sprung‘s Green Seaweed Sheets, would go right for them. BTW Heat will Cook them, as most are a cooler water species. So when your tank warms in the Summer, the one you got in the Winter Dies.

How do you know its not eating? Because its not going for the food that you give it?
Is it crawling around on the glass and rocks? If its crawling around, its likely eating something.

3 Weeks is a little early to add a cleanup crew. The turbo should be fine.

At the end of the day it's a snail... if it doesn't make it, it doesn't make it.

Did you start the tank with dry rock? Is it still white and clean?

I not sure id be worried about the snail not eating any time soon - 99% of people in this hobby have never specifically fed any snail in their aquarium.

Most tanks, if not all will get algae of some sort growing on the rockwork and glass within a few weeks of water and light being in the tank and this itself will feed the snail.

Give it time - Add your fish if cycled - See how it goes.
