The gift that keeps on giving! Lol

Well, it is somewhat true if you have a Matted Filefish or Peppermint Shrimp that actively eat them ;) I knew a lad that kept those things in their refugium with a bunch of frag plugs and rubble. He would glove up, reach in, and grab a handful and toss in their tank. Next day they would all be gone...go figure.

Wow. They really dig the Blue Spectrum of 420-490nm.

Even their SPS are under heavy Blues

Yea that pretty much sums it up. I've been wanting to take the family to "disney" (told my wife I'll drop her and my daughter off at the gate and I'll hit up TSA, wwc and anyone else in driving distance. Hahha. She actually said ok lol. Asked if I was gonna bring something to hold all my coral. Lol. Shes silly. That's y there's shipping hah.

That is correct! There is some daylight time though 350-450 par for 4hrs

@TopShelfAquatics

Agreed. Every chart I see what corals absorb is 390-490nm blue/uv.

Green, Yellow, Red spectrums seem to only promotes algae IMO. Even whites (which is the whole light spectrum) seems to have too much green, yellow, red for my liking

Hit 'em h.a.r.d. with the Blue spectrum with heavy PAR.

Btw... I find it really hard to smack corals with heavy UV-A 390-420nm. It seems those diodes take a lot of heat/energy yet still dont produce a lot of UV-A PAR. It seems like you need a bazillion 3w 390nm diode to produce a hard hitting UV-A PAR

Well I'm finally going to share some photos from when I went down to ReefAPalooza Orlando and visited Top Shelf Aquatics and their new farm they are building out while I was there. I didn't prepare to take photos so you'll have to just have to endure my iPhone photos! :p
