The weight is nice for moving it. We used 6 people to put a 500 gallon in place (that aint happening with glass). I dont have to worry about busted seams like so many glass failure threads on here. Clarity is very good. Yes I do uave some scratches, which is acrylic's downfall, but at least I can buff those out unlike glass. I have also heard of a few in tank polish kits that dont require you to drain the tank to polish it. So absolutely Id buy another again.
glad to hear you are happy with it. with the cost of things these days its a huge investment one I hope to enjoy for 10+ years. I got time to think about it. and maybe just maybe prices will come down.

who made the tank again? I would love to reach out for a quote.

Love the the open upper half look! Looking like a fun big tank.
It's been hard not putting more rock into the tank to fill that space. Luckily, my blonde naso and desarjini tang should fill that space up when fully, grown! Plus it gives me a lot of space for large coral colonies to grow into.

So my reeflo hammerhead went down again for the second time in a year and a half. First was a bad seal that was leaking. Took the pump offline for and hour or so to replace....no biggie. Was doing a water change last night, turned the pump off. Went to turn it back on, buzzing, no water movement. Checked the impeller shaft, free, not bound, but not spinning either. Pump also got hot as hell within 2-3 minutes of trying to get it to spin up. Luckily, when I bought my closed loop pump, I got two. Ampmaster dolphin marine grade 6270 something or others. Bit more flow than the hammerhead, and the fittings were a bit different. Luckily replumbed and back up and running within two hours. Note to us all......even though expensive, please have backups and plans for failures!!

Don't think I'm getting anymore reeflo products, too many issues seen on here and now experienced. Will look at the MRC improved version though. Or might just pick up 1-2 more of the ampmaster dolphins I have now. They seem pretty solid and have been very reliable up to now.

Happy Friday! Berghias are dealing with the aiptasia well. Few small cyano blooms on the sand, strawberry conchs doing good job of stirring the sand though. Few coral colonies not doing well (encrusting montipora, goniopora, and 1 of two duncan colonies). Otherwise plating montipora, birdsnest, and stylopora is growing well.

Been awhile since an update. So figure now is as good a time as any. The aiptasia I had were demolished by berghias. Havent seen any aiptasia in months....so berghias work, even with fairy wrasses in tank. Had a problem with my KH director......reading about 2dkh off. Still not right, but at least I know and can adjust for the discrepency. Had some fish loss due to bullying (one of three male lyretail anthias, exquiste wrasse, and a bluethroat wrasse). Everybody else doing okay. Will post some picture updates in a few minutes.
