They may have been morphing before you bought them. The morph takes place first. Then, the colors, shape changes. That is a huge tank. The may not fight. Plenty of roaming space. Might be interesting to keep an update on that.
Will do, only had two with the dorsal spike when I got them, Im just debating wether or not to get a few more females to spread the aggression out. However Im still looking at getting a harem of bellus angels (centerpiece of the tank), I have a magnificent foxface arriving in 1 to 2 weeks, and a few small fish like a mandarin pair once the copepod population is really going. Dont want to overload the tank though. Shouldve listened to my wife and gone bigger! It was a tactical mistake on my part (I thought for 2 minutes about how much it was going to cost). Im such a moron!

I would love too see a harem if bellus! I am not anthia expert. I wonder if it would be best and let the boys be?

But, your wife was right

Man, that tank is the BOMB! Congratulations!

PS: I hate eels, but that tank seems to be begging for one. The kids would freak! ;)
Thanks for the kind words! I have always though the dragon moray and ribbon eels were stunningly beautiful. However, my wrasses, anthias, and blennys would not! My wife would kill me if anything happens to the wrasses. She a wrassaholic. Think we're still looking for a Lineatus, flame, or rhomboid in addition to the several we have already.

It will be worth seeing, for sure.

I wish we had a hospital, vet clinic with nice fish setups. Nope. Heck, I wish the lfs had a nice display tank... Nope.

So long time lurker, new to commenting, and possibly mental for my undertaking. I present my newly started reef tank. It's a custom built Envision acrylic tank. 84Lx48Dx30H. It has a central overflow as the wife wanted it 4 sides viewable with no seen cords. James Steele does fabulous work and is easy to work with. I'll continue the journey with its ups and downs and pray to the good lord above it doesnt leak (It's in the middle of our clinic as a barrier and stress relief.

That's an amazing tank. Looks like it's coming along nicely

Dont feel bad, we have nothing around us either. It's sad when Petco is the nice fish store! Had to pick up some litter and stuff, cruised by the saltwater section. They were floating a foxface with velvet to put in their display for sale!

That's the thing about petco. I would go into their fish store and ask for a discount on the sick fish I knew I could save.
They would say "no, we're going to put them in the back and let them live out their days in peace." I was like.. Why aren't you moving them than? However, I always got discounts on corals... How's that work?

In spokane, wa. My birthplace. The lfs was great. I would go in and get sick fish and nurse back to health for free. They wouldn't even bother. I still bought meds and what not.

This lfs wont even sell me a frag growing algae for less than 25.. Oh Lord.. I am glad r2r has great sales. But at the same time. I am not ;Hilarious
Sorry for the rambling. I just want to see people who love the hobby run the business and not people who just want the dollar. If that makes sense. The price isn't the issue. It's the lack of love these fish and corals get.

I am definitely watching this! I can't wait to see the bellus. I was tempted to wait for some masked swallowtails. But, 112 maybe too small...

Had a Bellus angelfish in my 125, seemed to have plenty of space. She didnt dart around the tank like a pacing dog like the tangs do. Id be more concerned about the bioload depending on the full number of your fish. If it's relatively low then a male female pair would look amazing

My 125 from about 12 years ago. Bellus angel is chilling with a Desarjini and two lined rabbitfish. Really miss that tank, Those were most of my favorite corals before our power went out during a storm during the summer. Fought 90 degree temps for 3 days....lost everything.

I battle with keeping nitrates and phosphates where I like them. Nitrates hit a low 0-5 and phosphate I have to struggle atm to keep at .05.

2 firefish, 3 occ. clownfish, foxface, 1 melan wrasse he's a big 4"+, 1 cbb. I don't know a lot about the bio load on the reef safe angel fish. However, my tank was much more balanced with a 6" emperor and 6" pbt. Only Had to rehome the angel and the PBT tore up my female firefish's right eye. So, tang had to go back to the fish store I got him from.

I know the feeling of losing a loved aquarium. It's hard. But, you 2 are back at it again! It all looks great.

You have room for a pair or maybe two females and a male. Id just consider 3 females, and let on change (cheaper that way). That should help rebalance the nitrates as the Swallowtails get about 8 inches max. So still a lot smaller than an Emperor and a PBT. DO IT!!!
