This is a downgrade from my SCA 66. I have learned a lot, and my philosophy on keeping a tank has definitely evolved. A smaller all in one is something I have been thinking of for a while, and I'm hapy to start this Journey.

Equipment:

AI Prime HD x2

Custom Clearview Lid

Gyre 230 with end cap mod

Tunze 9001 skimmer

inTank media basket and floss holder

One 75 watt Jager heater

Tunze 3155 Osmolator

Apex which will control everything aside from lights and ATO.

I'm hoping to start the leak test by tomorrow. Here is the progress this far. Thanks for looking!

So this tank has been up a year now. Using old liverock that I've had wet for 6 years. It has always given me problems with algae. I got lax with my tank and just lost a fish and clam. I just did a 5 gallon water change after a 14 day flux treatment, but definitely a decent amount of algae still. Looks way better than it did! Tank is still ugly though so lots of work ahead.

Did another 5 gallon change. Pulled my living corals to the frot and basted them off. Need to get more salt and a 2 part. Got a lot more algae out. So far getting ahead of this.

Making progress slowly but surely. Not only was my tank still ugly (still is), but my cable management was as well. Made a diy board for my apex and various electronics. Not fully organized but almost there.

Just got my new Hanna alk reagent. Alk just a hair below six. Yikes. Clams are sucking up a lot and haven't been growing with my negligence. Got my new b ionic salt and ATI Essentials Pro. Time to start dosing!

I want to believe I'll have a successful reef tank.

5 gallon water change brough my dkh to 6.54. Will test in 24 hrs to see how much is being used and start dosing accordingly.
