I'm just frustrated with the algae impeding the growth of some of the corals. I have thought about adding more rock work the tank. Probably will.
I had that issue about 8 months in. I got some microbacter7 and biofuel and it just disappeared in a few weeks. I almost gave up because my family didn't like how ugly it was... Glad I kept trying so... Don't give up!! Find your tanks balance...

I’ve kept tanks of all sizes, but currently only have a 28g Nanocube, it’s around 10-11 months old, here it is:

I have a Warpaint Scoly that literally looks identical to the one in your picture. Right down to the placement of the orange and teal stripes.

Here’s my little 24 gallon Waterbox cube along with my IM Nuvo 20 softie (ish) tank! The cube has been running for three years while the Nuvo is a little over a year old! I personally love nanos but am really looking forward to upgrading to try my hand at something larger! Feel free to follow along on Instagram at Northwest_nano for more pictures and videos!

Started almost 3 years ago. Took things super slow. Started BB and with dry rock. I do weekly 20% water changes and feed corals 2-3 times per week.

Do you guys run skimmers on your nano setups. I’m at college and was thinking about setting a 10 gallon rimless cube. I was thinking of only doing mushrooms.

I have a skimmer on mine. 20 gal with a clown and cardinal fish. Probably overkill but it definitely pulls out some stuff.
Chemi pure tabs really helped mine more than anything.

Did you ever test for alkalinity? Mine was apparently like 5 for a year and things stalled. After dosing a months or two things started exploding.

I have a build thread for this one with pics of what it looked like when I built it more than 15 years ago. The inhabitants were lost in a flood in May and only recently got it going again. DIY tank is 7 gallons. DIY chest. 20L sump

Only a few small frags in it at the moment. CUC added yesterday and they are working on the algae shown in the pic. There is a link to the old build thread in my signature if anyone is interested (Pirate’s Reef).

This is what it grew into after the initial setup. I robbed a lot of it to put in my 140 when I got it set up.

Uch this thread makes me very happy!

This is my 20 long (Work in progress) in my office, I love the hobby and was able to convince my boss to get a tank in our office, space wise this is the only tank that would work, i started with a 10 and it was too small so i upgraded since an love it even more.

Going through a bit of a brown algae stage currently but i am seeing great results so far.

I am thinking to add one or two more fish and lots lots of corals.
