Looks great Colorful! Colorful & healthy!Waterbox 25 gallon peninsula mini!! Nano for my very first saltwater tank
I've always loved hexagons for tanks, they just feel... more natural. I've seen a few huge circular tanks that feel like a modern version of them. This was one of my favorite tanks when I had just gotten to the end of the hobby about 9 years ago. We were buying a 100 year old farm house without AC, and the floors where not the best. So the fish tanks had to go. This one was sitting on my desk at work. I would watch the goby and shrimp work all day as well.
Shrimp and Goby hard at work.
I don't have a Nano at the moment.
Same hear around 1985. Read a brief article in an aquarium mag about 'reef aquariums' being developed in Europe and built my own: 8g display (gravity fed) with a 12g sump, lava rock & sand filter stacked trays, a little Sanders protein skimmer and a DIY overflow box. It had a juvenile Condy anemone, couple Sailfin Blennies for a while (until a baby Mantis grew up and ate them!) and purple Zoas covered just about everything else.Built my own back in the late 80's out of some old shower glass I found on junk day...purchased 1 piece of clear for the front from a local glass shop...it was 16x8x10..so it would fit on an in-wall shelf...
had one bta and a maroon clown...was my 1st attempt at building a tank...held water ..good enough.
