So I have a goniopora and on the side of the skeleton it started growing this white sponge with a pulp at the end, does anybody know what it is? Also should I be worried??

Are they harmful to the coral? Should I Manuelly remove them? Thanks alot mets17127Looks like a gigantic pineapple sponge. They are good filter feeders, but usually show up in numbers, like in a sump, and then self limit.
Awesome information, thanks alot bro , great to know , now I'm not that nervousWon't hurt the goni. Once you have a ton of them in your sump and overflow, they become no cost filtration for the entire system.
