So I bought a hammer yesterday and it has several stony growths on its stall. Any ideas on what they are?

They look like vermetid snails. I would crush them with tweezers as they irritate corals

So I removed with some surgical clamps and gently scraped the base clean of the crusty snail bases. You still suggest glueing the shaft of the hammer?
