Start cycling tank 25/04/21
I use
Brightwell start xlm
Brightwell quick cycle ammonia

19/5
Salifert test kit
Ph-8
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10
Temperature-27c
Salinity-1.023

21/05
I dose again brightwell quick cycle ammonia 4ml.

25/05
Ph-8
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-25
Temperature-27c
Salinity-1.023

My question is tank cycling complete?

If cycle complete next step change water 25% then add fish rite?

My problem is im frm Malaysia..here due to covid-19 lock down rdy..once back to normal then only i can go LFS buy live stock..
My question is my beneficial bacteria how long can alive?and i need to feed them or just leave it?or i need to add some ammonia source?

I would throw a 1/4-1/2 of a small shrimp tail (think end of your pinky finger) in the tank and leave it. As it breaks down it will feed the tank. Do daily testing and you will see how a food source is processed by your biofilter.
If it goes completely away add another small piece.
Remove it a few days before you actually are going to add livestock

You're totally ready to go. No need to add any more ammonia , your tank has proven iy can get rid of it quickly.
I used the same Brightwell system and found it to work very well. 2 days before I added my first fish (2 clowns) I did and 80% water change and everything was good to go.

I agree with this. The tank can handle ammonia (and nitrite) already, no need to prove it again.

Oh, just saw his first question on whether his cycling was complete. My bad.

@deephan for your second question, you don't need to do anything. The nitrifiers can survive ammonia-starved for at least a few weeks without seeing any significant changes. If you are worried, you can dose the same amount of ammonia you did before every two weeks or so just to be sure.

Yes, I understand what he is asking. I still say the bacteria does not need to be fed anymore Ammonia.

Interesting discussion reefers... It is timely as well, as I just started cycling my 5ft tank. Please see attached...

I started with some fish pallets when i introduced the bacterias... does these numbers look OK to you? Should I trow in a piece of shrimp as suggested above? Thanks in advance.
