I want to start on a fowlr tank (angels & tangs dominate), but have been contemplating about the compatibility of these angelfish together: multibar, venustus, bandit, clarion, conspic, queen, and emperor. Some of them are higher end fish, so I definitely want to make a good decision. Thoughts or experiences appreciated. The tank will be 400G+

In that size the Paracentropyge species should be fine together, but try and get them around the same time.

For the larger species, I've had some behave aggressively if too cramped. I wouldn't do more than 3 of the larger species in a 400g tank.

What species is it? Some damsel species are fairly well-behaved, others are terrible.

Curious, which damsels are more likely to be better behaved? The ones I have kept have been hit or miss, but mostly tend toward the aggressive side. Thanks!

I have a 120 -48" x 24" I haven't stocked it yet, but I was thinking of
Yellow Eye kole tang
Gold rim tang
scopas tang
Barred rabbit fish
and two clowns

Well, this was my original plan, I was thinking that's too many fish and thought of cutting it down to the kole, gold rim and 2 clowns. Maybe adding a few smaller fish?

Some of the smaller Chrysiptera species are pretty mellow, hemicyanae, springeri, arnazae, tricincta, and traceyi.

Gold rim do better with 6' of swimming space over 4', that's what I would recommend dropping.

FWIW, I have a trio of azure damsels. They are consumed with each other’s business.

I also have a blue green chromis and 2 Ocelaris clowns and have none of the typical “damsel issues”

The trio of azure’s came by way of a recommendation from @eatbreakfast.

That stocklist looks great for the most part. The only concern I have is with the 3 female and 1 male carpenter's flasher wrasses. First, getting correctly identified female flasher wrasses is difficult, as females of different species are practically indistinguishable. Secondly, most sold as females are begining to transition to male already. Third, in captivity females almost always transition into males even if a male is present, and males of the same species can be quite aggressive with each other. You would be better off getting one individual from 4 different species.
The lemon damsel fish
That's a medium aggressive species.

I have a fluval evo 13.5, can I put 2 ocellaris clowns, a cleaner shrimp and a couple trochus snails in it? Also is the stock light good enough for hammer coral?

Would 2 Golden semilarvatus butterflies get along in a 75gal? Wanted to add a Pakistan butterfly as well as the only fish in there.

Pakistani, longnose, copperband, raccoon, auriga, klein, lemon, pearlscale.
Thank you,

I’m thinking 2 Pakistani butterflies a dwarf angel (flame or golden) and a fu Manchu lionfish in a 75gal. How do the butterflies pair up. Can you just put two random ones in or do you need to aquire a pair?
