Good day reefers,

I would love to get your opinions on where you think would be the best spot to place a Fluval Sea CP1 (265GPH) powerhead in my 5 gallon tank. I know, it might be a bit too much for a tank this small and it's also a bit crowded in there too, but I still want to give it a try without beating up my soft corals too much. I'm attaching 2 photos (front and side) with my tank so you can get an idea of how it's aquascaped and where my corals are placed.

Thank you!

I would try it on the black portion of the tank opposite the return. I find I usually have to move the around and play w/ the angles to get the flow in the right spots. Good luck

Which way would be the best if mounted on the black wall? Hitting the back glass (flow1) at an slightly upwards angle OR hitting the front glass (flow 2) at an slightly upwards angle?

The second picture seems good. That will allow nice deflection and flow around the tank along with surface agitation. You will have to place it in the tank and play with it a little bit. I like to use an air hose to add bubbles to the tank so you can see the flow. (remove air hose after).
