Need help had an immediate outbreak of some stuff and have no idea what it is or what to do

It’s a bio cube 32 gallon with 25-26 gallons of water lighting scudule is L1 10:30-4 L2 9:30-7 L3 which is blue light 7:30-10:30

Cyano is like a powdery dust coating can blow off . In cycle you will get some uglies going on not seeing anything worrisome. For your testing nitrate number can be unreliable with nitrites still showing. Give it time the cycle is doing it’s thing

Ps lights aren’t really needed going thru your cycle and can contribute to the cyano I wanted to see my rocks and had lights on for a short time each day tho
Make sure to follow instructions on whatever bac starter you used as for feeding the bac with ammonia x parts per million and timing to keep cycle progressing as needed

It's diatoms and part of the process. It will play itself out, nothing to worry about.

Diatoms, a brown algae that typically appear in a tank that has just completed its cycle but they can also appear in an established reef.

Diatom bloom, Its normally the first bloom of growth during cycling. Its doing its thing, you will see some other crazy algae blooms too during the process everything slows down and stabilizes about 2-6 months in. Next will probably be some hair algae, don't panic let it do its thing and keep monitoring the all the things

Thanks everyone, had me worried there for a minute if I just run my lights off tell it’s done cycling would that help?

Some people run lights on some run off during the cycling.. lights are not needed so it is up to you. I ran mine at the time cause I had to manually turn them off and on, I wanted to get in the habbit before I started stalking it.. Now I have an LED setup so its on a schedule.
