Just used a turkey baster and yeah blows off fairly easy, should I blow it all off before my next water change? Still dont know what the other stuff that's growing is, looks like mini treesDoes it blow off easily? Looks kinda like green cyano to me.
Yeah peppermint shrimp has been mowing them down, i have chemipure elite in my second chamber, only run whites at 20% intensity. Salinity at 1.025, magnesium has been high always over 1600 not sure why, calcium 480, alk 9.6 , tanks almost 2 years old, never had this problem before. I did start dosing the red sea program a few weeks ago and nopox but I stopped all of it. I have a biocube 32 , do weekly water changes 4 gallons. Get rodi water from lfs and us red sea coral pro saltI see quite a bit of aptasia that needs to be erradiacated and also green slime algae that can or may become dinoflagellate.
Loosen this all up with a turkey baster and siphon out, add carbon, reduce white lighting intensity and what are your parameters?
Are you using RO Water? Almost represents tap water and phosphate above maximums.
Blow it all and do an immediate water change. Liquid Vibrant may help with reduction or even Hydrogen Peroxide dosed at 1ml per 10 gallons and increase Blue/decrease white lights for about 5 days.Just used a turkey baster and yeah blows off fairly easy, should I blow it all off before my next water change? I was actually looking into vibrant, I saw you should stop running gfo is dosing that so should I switch to chemipure blue?Blow it all and do an immediate water change. ChemiPure blue perfect and yes, remove GFOI was actually looking into vibrant, I saw you should stop running gfo is dosing that so should I switch to chemipure blue?
The high alk, calcium and mag is prob from the coral pro salt. I do not see enough coral in your tank to warrent the use of this salt. It will build up over time. I would switch to the Red Sea Blue bucket.........Salinity at 1.025, magnesium has been high always over 1600 not sure why, calcium 480, alk 9.6 , tanks almost 2 years old, never had this problem before. .......do weekly water changes 4 gallons. This is the whole tank, dont have a crazy amount of coral, prob a good idea to switch to the blue bucket as I mostly have euphylia and zoas? The high alk, calcium and mag is prob from the coral pro salt. Switch slowly. Mix it half and half until the black bucket is gone. That way there will be no big shock. This is the whole tank, dont have a crazy amount of coral, prob a good idea to switch to the blue bucket as I mostly have euphylia and zoas?
