Wow this looks like a stomatella. Though I variant I have yet to see so far. How is its “tail” like, is it long?? Or if not does it look like its been cut off/broken off? A tell tale sign of a stomatella is its really really long foot that extends beyond its shell.

To tell you the truth, when I initially removed him from the tank there was a piece near him that appeared to be like a foot. Wasn't sure if it was a coincidence or if I inadvertantly broke it off when I removed him. I think you may be on to something - stomatella.

It possibly could be its detached foot. I regularly find my stomatellas with their foot broken off since they might have gotten spooked by my hermits. They would detach parts of their foot like lizards. What was the word, autotomy i think.
