What bacteria and method did you use to start your tank? How long did it take?

Besides R2R, what are the best resources you have found to learn about the hobby?

What coral vendors have you bought from the most? Are their pictures representative of what you received?

How do you keep major purchases for your tank hidden from your significant other? :p
I feel I might be in the minority here but my significant other loves the hobby and will even buy fish and corals at the fish store for the reef ! Consider me one of the lucky few !

Not sure if this one has been posted before:
What would you consider a good beginner size tank and why
I find my 13.5 is easier to maintain than some of our older large tanks so I am curious what others think.

What is your contingency plan in case you are unable to care for your tank? For example, I am recovering from Covid. For the first several days I couldn’t access my tank. It made me think, who could care for it and keep up with my routines if I were unable to do so.

I hope you get better soon!

You probably asked already and I missed it.
Have you ever browsed a build thread that made you attempt a fish, coral or invert on your "not interested, too difficult to attempt" list?

I don't want bounces or acropora... But after seeing some of these builds.. Lord help me.
Go for the challenge .some Acropora can be as cheap as fish food . And thrive …
You will never know if you don’t try

Prepare to buttle! The solution is: get a credit card in your own name. Boom, done, easy. She doesn't see the total amount you spent, only the payments you've made toward them
They know. They always know.

When it comes to Algae / Pest problems, do you prefer Biological / Natural, or Chemical way of beating them?

For example, do you use something like F- Aptasia or Bergiah Nudis when fighting against Aptasia?

Most underrated non-reef-safe big fish?
Bluejaw triggers (and their relatives), large angels of various types, as well as some of the larger wrasses & parrotfish could all be good options.

How much flow is to much? Is there such a thing as to much flow in a reef tank? Will corals acclimate to any type of flow? I’ve seen many different corals under different types and all have seemed happy given time.
