I need to sort my **** out. Low by 6.2%.

Getting rusty I guess.
Probably absorption, just dose it on up to where you want to be!

I think I’m just a touch under on my volume calculation. I’m dosing for 15g but it might be at 16.

Going to dose the extra 6% tomorrow am - 2.65 ml instead of 2.5.

Once I’m done dosing, I’ll do testing every two days- I’ll see if absorption comes into play at that point. It’s weird though- my first and third QT had zero change from the set point after the last dose, the second QT needed additional maintenance doses every 3-4 days. Same 10g, hob, media format.

That is a bit strange. The joy of the good ol Hanna is it's easy to adjust/compensate if necessary.

Quick one-

Pink spotted goby is fully healed. Maybe a little bit of a ‘clumsy’ bite on the right side of the mouth, but no redness or anything else apparent.

Day 10 NFG is today, planning to transfer to DT tomorrow. That makes 6 weeks QT, 7 different drug treatments, 9 water changes of 50% or greater.

I’m sure she’ll be happy to graduate tomorrow.

What kind of pen do you write on the glass with? A paint pen? I looked at them and the odor was so strong! BTW a new FTS is in order! And a fishroom shot too! I will post one too!

It’s a chalk marker pen. Zero VOC. Found them in my wife’s art crap, I’ll get a model number for you

Fishroom is in need of a tidy- im putting together my not so secret project whenever I have spare time. Which I haven’t had since Tuesday...

Major Bummed!!

Went down to check the QTs this morning, and my tangs have black ich.

The store I bought them had it 2-3 months ago. So I kinda half expected it.

Anyway- deets:

5 days acclimation to relieve a little HLLE in the PT and get them eating
Day 1: start 3 day copper power ramp up to 1.75ppm
Day 3 pm: confirmed copper power at 1.83ppm
Day 5: GC
Day7: Met. Copper power at 1.78
Day 8: 70% WC due to cloudiness and build up of detritus. Copper power maintained in change water at 1.80
Day9: Met. (Today)
Day 11: GC
Day 15: DT barring any issues

They are on day 9 and got their Met, then I noticed the black spot in the YT

Thinking I will start Prazipro, two rounds five days apart, and keep dosing Met every two days until I’m done with Prazipro . That combo essentially takes the place of the second GC dose.

That’s the plan, but I’m on the tail end of being alone and having two kids off daycare for 3 days , so my judgement might be a little lacking right now. Actually, having two kids off daycare while wife away working DEFINITELY shows a lack of judgement...

Any chance I can have a second opinion?

On a brighter note: pink spotted goby appears fully healed, yesterday was day 10 of NFG. Into the DT today/tomorrow!

Can you upload pics of the fish with black ich?
