Since he has four probes I will say this is the 2016 wifi model. It tests Temperature, pH, ORP and salinity out of the box. If you purchase a trident you can also test alkalinity, calcium and magnesium. The trident can also control things like heaters, lights, powerheads, ATO, feed cycles and recirculating pumps (may require additional add ons) as well as send you alerts about all of those things
