Purchased the ice cap v3 new from lfs thinking it was a pretty basic device and I wouldn't have any issues, was shutting off house power and noticed my pump wasn't running, the light on the nero controller lights up white but isn't turning the pump on at all. reading other post people are able to use a shorter cable that is supplied to with the older version v2 but i would need to order this for my v3, has anyone got there ice cap v3 to works with a nero 5 yet?

Normally a 12 volt battery would run a 24 volt pump at half speed. Unfortunately, the way the Nero is set up to run off of it's driver. The driver will not function @12v. You would need the now discontinued Icecap V2, which is 24 volts.
