Hi guys, as I've said before I'm new to the saltwater tank community sinners with me!

So I got a new blood/fire shrimp yesterday for my 10g nano and he molted over the first night in the tank! I woke up so upset because I thought he was dead then looked over and there he's was hanging upside down all happy on a plant...

Question: is this normal? Just a coincidence? Lol sorry I'm such a paranoid fish mom.

Yes that's normal.
That's due to the difference in parameters from your LFS to your tank.
Even though you acclimate him it still happens.
But you got plants in your saltwater tank?

Just a thought; if you're going to use plastic artificial plants you may want to move them at least 1.5" away from the glass on all sides to keep from limiting water flow and help in removing detritus -critical in a small tank IMHO.

Enjoy the hobby

Most shrimps molt once a month .. they can molt because of stress or because of growing in size .. molting is perfectly normal .. do you have any rock work in Your tank ??

Yes but not live rock yet. He hangs out on the plants and the coral usually.

Guys another question: right now my tank is 1 algae blenny 1 clownfish and then just added blood shrimp Friday. Today I noticed my blenny kind of bullying my shrimp. Sneaking up on him and like nipping or something and scares the crap out of my shrimp. What do I do??

Update: he started going after my clown, I don't know what has gotten into him, moved him to QT tank. Annoyed.
