Anyone using new BRS setting for Ai Hydra 26HD? If so, what do you think? I started using the new setting few weeks ago, but looks very white to me.

Yeah that white channel is pretty high. I think the “old” settings, AB+, is only like 19-20%. I’ll take a screenshot of mine.
I was unaware of “new settings”.

They released the new BRS recommended setting for 26HD 4 weeks ago.

Interesting with the UV settings! What kind of mix of corals are you keeping and how are they liking the spectrum?

If I am understanding BRS newest video correctly. B, RB, V, UV are the channels most important to coral coloration and growth. CW is used to help round out spectrum and help adjust some of the overall intensity of lighting.

They also increased RV and B a lot. I am wondering if I can turn down the white a little bit since white is only for our eyes.
I don't see why not although you may need to bump the others a tad to keep par roughly equivalent? I am enjoying the recent BRS videos on mastering LED lighting. I thought the recent one on spectrum was very interesting on how it affects various pigments in the corals and what we see in response.

I have been running these settings since BRS released them, it’s been awhile, I don’t recall how long.

I run a mixed reef, with a little of everything. Lights are mounted 14”-15” AWL and my top SPS are in the 250-300+ par range(verified via par meter rental).

Note: I added the “low” spots, since I also run t5’s. I think my “lows” are down 10% over every channel. I run 4-26hd’s, 2-48” blue+, and 2-48” actinic. Tank is 60x36x24.

...don’t mind my unfinished stand, haha. Haven’t gotten it done yet lol
