The calcium checker is reliable as long as you actually use it correctly and use distilled water, not RODI.
Distilled water not RO Nice to know !!! Thanks for sharing ! As far as mag tester I don’t need another quasi step mag tester collecting dust in the p o s cabinet lol!

You should really use volumetric measurement such as a syringe or preferably a lab pipette.

Unless you know the density of the reagent you don't know how much 4ml weighs.
The same with the sample tankwater where 5ml weighs 5.13g at 25 celcius f your salinity is 35psu

Given the small quantities involved volumetric measurement is likely to be much more accurate which is quite important with this test

Is anyone getting consistent results out of theirs yet? I really want this to work.
I’m gonna have 3 or 4 drinks, then run the same test several times later today and post results

I’ll use my scale to verify doses are accurate

Well we do not know what lighting they observed the test under but under 6000k or not people see colors differently.

Again when I looked at against the white wall during daylight hours in my living room it was blue to me. So that’s my assessment.
I would record were you believe the blue is. Then continue just to make sure it doesn't get bluer.

You guys need to watch the Redsea video on YouTube for the magnesium test. The end point is when it first turns blue, not when it stays blue.
