Hi there I am new I’ve had my up since September 21.

i’ve lost xenia colony and a cabbage coral and some Birdsnest that’s it I’ve had no life and this thing maybe some copepods here in there I don’t Fido but not anymore. Just because I don’t.

My Zoanthif to colonies have been closed for a while and my light is very dim for them so I don’t know what’s wrong.

My water parameters are fine looking I’ll have pictures of what they are below. I have a Neptune trident monitoring my alkalinity calcium etc. I’m not sure what level they should be at.

for now GSP and Zoanthids are in the tank.

please someone can you help me thank you for taking the time to read this and responding have a great night!

What’s up. Well from what I can see your levels are looking to be your problem. You should definitely raise your salinity up to 35. Yours is currently at 30 which is low. Your alkalinity is good for now, your calcium should be in the 420 range and raise your magnesium to like 1350-1400. Your PH is way low should definitely work on getting that up also.
Are you testing with other test kits to compare to the apex?

Why is the light so dim?

Manually test your salinity. The probes can be inaccurate. You want 1.026 or 35ppt

Also let me add, what lights are you running and what’s your lighting schedule?

I would say water changes, maybe 30%, for 2 or 3 times a day or 2 apart. With the salinity at 35 ppm this should help
stabilize your water parameters and bring every thing with ur ranges you need
IMHO

I have API, Red Sea foundation pro, Salifert, and hanna checkers to test most of my parameters.

My favorite are the hanna checkers because they provide you with a digital reading (I find it too difficult to compare the dim color differences for the other kits).

Echoing others, suggest raising salinity to 1.026 / 35ppt and doing some water changes (spread out over some time). I also run my lights for ~10 hours a day.
Whatever you decide to do, please do it slowly. Keep on asking questions! :)
